Born in 2000, Iriss Okins grew up in an extraordinary environment: a hospital specialized in supporting individuals with Down syndrome, where her adoptive mother worked. Abandoned at the hospital’s doorstep, Iris was taken in and raised in this unique world, which profoundly shaped both her art and her outlook on life.

Surrounded by the faces and personalities of the residents she saw every day, Iris developed an early fascination with the features and expressions she observed around her. Through her drawings, she created a universe filled with creatures that are both distorted and captivating, offering a heartfelt tribute to individuals with Down syndrome. As an ultracontemporary artist, Iris Okins now harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to translate her visions into striking images, breathing a supernatural dimension into her creatures. Her creations, available in limited editions, are signed and numbered, with only 30 copies of each piece, priced between 1500 and 5000 euros depending on the size.
